Radhika Rao is an actor, teaching theatre artist and professor of arts integration in education. She
is a recent graduate from the doctoral program at Harvard Graduate School of Education, where
she focused on the use of theatre for social justice education. She was trained in theatre in New
Delhi, India, where she grew up, and worked with the renowned theatre troupe, ASMITA. In
2003 she moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she has worked in the Boston public school
system as well as was affiliated with several non-profit organizations such as Peace Games,
University of Middle East, where she consulted on the use of theatre in peace and social justice
work. Radhika has been in San Diego since 2009, where she has focused on the use of theatre
for teaching academic subjects such as English, Social Science, as well as Life Skills such as
leadership, cooperation, empathy, and critical thinking. She currently teaches at California Center
for the Arts, The Old Globe, Center ARTES, and California State University, San Marcos. In
2009-2010, she was in over 20 classrooms and ran theatre workshops with over 1200 students.
